Youto Yokodera, a high school student wants to be seen in a different way, as a pervert, because of his lewd actions that are often misinterpreted as a good action or will and people can’t see his real true intention or nature. One day when Youto hears a rumor of a cat statue that can banish an unwanted trait, he starts to search for it. Youto finally found the cat statue and started to pray for his façade to be removed, one wish comes at a price. Youto façade is finally gone and the price of his prayer is the trait will be transferred to someone who wants or desires them.

After his façade gone, Youto decides to regain it because he realizes that vocalizing his dirty or lewd thoughts is not the best thing at all. To regain his lost trait Youto must search the person who got it in first place and needs to make a prayer or wish to return the trait to its owner. Unfortunately, Youto was not alone in praying in the cat statue, he must not only fix his life but also the other people who prayed in the cat statue. Youto learned that the other person praying that time is Tsukiko Tsutsukakushi, also a student in his school and also looking for her lost trait.

Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko. focuses on Youto Yokodera decides to remove one of his traits because he wants to be seen by others as a pervert because of his lewd action is misinterpreted as a good will. One day when Youto heard the rumor about the cat statue that you can pray anything and your wish will be granted, his search starts to look for the cat statue who will listen to his prayer. When Youto finally found the cat statue, he started to pray to remove his façade, and it happened the following day. Because of what happened in school Youto wants to return his lost trait and it happens that his dirty lewd thoughts are not the best thing at all. To make it worse his wish also has a value, one wish or prayer in exchange his or her trait will be given to someone who wants it. Youto starts his search for the person who also prayed on that particular day to retrieve it; he must ask that person to return the façade trait to its owner. Tsukiko Tsutsukakushi also a student in Youto school, the person who also prayed on the cat statue.

Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko. anime series is produced by J.C.Staff and did a great job for its anime adaptation. In terms of anime adaptation this is one of the great series they produced, the story focus and well suited for animation is the real highlight of the whole series. A fluid and smooth flow of the whole series of Hetai Ouji is great to watch. For the music selection it’s most suitable for the whole anime series, opening song Fantastic Future a good start for a good simple romantic comedy story, and ending song Baby Sweet Berry Love for a bit dramatic story that needs to be seen in the whole anime series. 

Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko. deserves a good anime recommendation for its good story to follow a bit of twist to make the story interesting, for romantic comedy fans out there, and to those who are always looking for a balanced story flow of school life with a bit of drama around. Anime or light novel? First of all, I just learned the title from an anime adaptation. After watching the whole series, the anime is good to know the whole story. The light novel where the story came from, is also a good read if you think or feel the satisfaction of the whole story from the anime series is not enough or feels a lack on some detail or information or questions the light novel is the great source. Reading is as good as watching the whole anime series, what comes first is to read for some but for me I just watch and read afterwards to know what happens next and to understand more the characters. Is Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko. an underrated anime series? Nope, not at all a good grade for a good story showcase, satisfied to watch the whole anime series and which is fun and interesting and the character of Youto Yokodera for some is your regular harem character but in this series a bit different one because of his honest type and doesn’t matter if you called him pervert and what makes more interesting is the seiyuu or voice actor behind is Yuki Kaji one of its famous role in terms of harem Hyoudou Issei from High School DxD. Is this another harem story? Yes, another harem but not on the ecchi parts but on a good side because Youto is just an honest pervert that just voicing out his inner thoughts and that’s the fun part when he tries to do some pervert but because of misunderstanding they think it’s just an accident. Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko. a great anime story to watch for its good spin on events and a wish for something to change there’s a price to pay after it’s done.
