Kaichou wa Maid-sama! is one of the popular shoujo romance stories that everyone knows. Kaichou wa Maid-sama! or Maid-sama! in English version. From the year 2010 Kaichou wa Maid-sama! anime series consist of 26 episodes and runs around 24 minutes per episode. J.C. Staff production adapts the manga story for the anime series of Kaichou wa Maid-sama! Opening song “My Secret” performed by Saaya Mizuno. Ending song “Yokan” and "∞ Loop” performed by heidi. Kaichou wa Maid-sama! directed by Hiroaki Sakurai.
Misaki Ayuzawa became the first woman president of the student council when the exclusive all boys school became a co-ed school. Misaki also known as a “demon president” from the boy’s view because of her strict disciplinary style, she is not afraid of anyone because she masters the aikido technique to protect not just herself but everyone who needs help mostly girls from Sekai High School. The only thing Misaki is afraid of is her one biggest embarrassing secret is that she works a part time job as a maid at maid café to help her family.
Misaki manages to keep her part time job secret from her fellow students and works hard as a student council president at the same time. One day Takumi Usui, the most popular boy at school not just because of his looks but also to his studies, walks into a maid café and discovers that the student council president works as a maid. After Misaki is done at her duty she confronts Takumi who doesn't tell anyone her secret that she works as a maid at maid café.
Kaichou wa Maid-sama! In terms of shoujo story this one becomes a well-fast popularity not just how interesting the story development they created but how the interaction of individual characters around Misaki and Takumi love story. One strong point is that how Takumi honestly told how he really likes and loves Misaki is a cool thing not just on words alone but also shows his resolve and action in daily life challenges.
For animation of the series J.C. Staff did a great job for the adaptation and almost the same as the manga series. This is the strong point of the production to adapt a manga series, it’s a rare thing to be attracted to the anime. Some adaptations will fail but this is translated a lot for the series and delivered the message of the love story. For the music choice the whole series has been described by the music alone can feel the emotion of the music from the opening to the ending theme.
Kaichou wa Maid-sama! deserves a high recommendation not just for shoujo story lovers but also a balance of romance and obligation of each character. The character development is one of the highlights of the story how Misaki accepts her work not just as a maid but also a great student council president at the same time and the change of Takumi facing the challenges upfront with the help of Misaki. Is Kaichou wa a good shoujo story? It's a really good story to be honest. I read the manga for the continuation of the story and to see the whole thing not just the ending but also how they will face the daily challenges to be thrown at Misaki. Is the anime series overrated? Nope not at all, most of the people saw the series loved it a lot. Anime or manga first? Any of the two will do, for the whole story choose the manga and the anime is something you want to see a real moving romance and to love the both main characters. Kaichou wa Maid-sama! a story for everyone it’s a good refresh if you want a good balance not just all about school but also a personal life to help your own family and follow your heart feeling inside.
