Seiya Kanie, a high school student is also one of the smart students but narcissistic at the same time. One day Seiya is being invited or forced by a beautiful classmate Isuzu Sento on a date at an amusement park called Amagi Brilliant Park. To make things worse the amusement park is not in good condition anymore. It is almost like a run-down facility that needs an update. The supposed to be date becomes a facility tour at the end of the tour inside the amusement park, where Isuzu introduced Princess Latifa Fleuranza the owner of the theme park and asked Seiya to become the new parks manager.

Seiya became the new manager of the amusement park, as he learned that Amagi Brilliant Park has a deadline not less than three months to meet a quota of 500,000 guests or the park will be closed for good and the whole land will be developed by a greedy real estate company. As Seiya learns the real problem but he also learns that Amagi Brilliant Park is not your ordinary amusement park, many of the employees are “Maple Landers” a mysterious being who live in the human world and are nourished by the energy created by people having fun inside the amusement. As the manager of Amagi Brilliant Park and entrusted with all hopes and dreams, Seiya must now use all his skills to bring the whole park back to its former glory.

Amagi Brilliant Park's story focuses on the recovery of the amusement park from the help of Seiya Kanie, a smart and narcissistic high school student who has been invited for a date from Isuzu Sento. After the so-called date and saw the whole status of Amagi Brilliant Park, Seiya was asked by Isuzu and Princess Latifa Fleuranza who owns the whole amusement park to be a new manager. As Seiya accepts the job given and starts to learn the problem and the whole things about Amagi Brilliant Park, it is in his hands the hopes and dreams to bring the whole park to its former state.

Amagi Brilliant Park anime series is produced by Kyoto Animation, did a great job for its character and story flow. Character design feels amazing and almost alive by the characteristics of each one, some seems resemblance but it sticks to the main story. Animation flow focuses on the whole amusement park to return its former glory state to make it happen Seiya will do his job as the new manager of the whole Amagi Brilliant Park with the help of all employees inside the park. KyoAni stayed on the main story line which is good and smooth flow to watch one improvement at a time. For the music choice a well-suited music for a great story, opening song like a welcome message telling us to come inside the Amagi Brilliant Park feel which is great and showing all the parts of the amusement park a great welcome indeed, and for the ending song is also good is like a they dream starts to be made to reality and the song performance is from seiyuu of the anime series Sylphy (Tomoyo Kurosawa), Kobori (Shiori Mikami), Salama (Minami Tsuda), Muse (Yuuka Aisaka).

Amagi Brilliant Park anime series deserves a great anime recommendation in terms of story, this is something new to watch plus some comedy and fantasy inside the amusement park. Anime or light novel? First of all, I just learned the title from an anime adaptation announcement and after done in the series which is great to watch from start till end and satisfying ending is something you don’t see often, but after a while reading the light novel is also a different experience. The anime series is real satisfaction if you just want to watch a different kind of anime story which is fun and entertaining, but if you think it’s not enough light novel is available not just to satisfy your love to its story but to know from each part of development which is also good and all tackled in the novel series. Is Amagi Brilliant Park an underrated anime series? Nope, not at all in terms of this kind of story it shows more people got interested in it, a different type of story where a bit of magic fantasy to make it easy to understand the whole things happening inside the amusement park. The story quality is something far from your normal things or making the amusement park more interesting and why it needs a big help from the start is something they look and well explained from one to another why Seiya Kamie is chosen as a new manager in first place and good development of whole cast not just into the main but also to the supporting cast. Amagi Brilliant Park is not your normal amusement park but it will give you a smile for the whole experience when you come for its one-of-a-kind fun entertainment that your happiness is also their thanks for coming to Amagi Brilliant Park.
