Kazuma Yagami a former part of Kannagi household returns to his old home, as a “Fuujutsu” user or the ability to control the wind. Kazuma is also a “Contractor” a rare individual who has enter into a contract with the “Kaze O Serei” or wind king. After four years disappearing to the family because he can’t control “Enjutsu” or fire ability and defeated by his younger cousin Ayano Kannagi. Kazuma returns rise a lot of conflicts to his old household, because of the death of several Kannagi family members have been murdered by a Fuujutsu user just like his new ability.

To clear Kazuma’s name, he must help his former household the Kannagi family to find the real culprit behind the murder of the Kannagi members. To make things worse Ayano suspects Kazuma as the culprit because of his new ability as a Fuujutsu user. Kazuma decides not just to clear his name but also to aid the Kannagi family as he shares a mutual hatred, in order to discover the truth motive and behind the identity of the killer.

Kaze no Stigma, a story of Kazuma Yagami returns to his former household as a Fuujutsu user, after four years he disappears to the Kannagi family. One reason for his return is to clear his name for he is not the real killer of the Kannagi family members. Ayano Kannagi is the new heir of the Kannagi family also suspects Kazuma for killing her family members, one reason she sees is that Kazuma is also a Fuujutsu user. For Kazuma don’t have any interest at all to kill the other members of the Kannagi family and for Ayano she can’t accept the fact that Kazuma is not the killer from the start.

Kaze no Stigma anime series is produced by Gonzo and did an amazing job for anime adaptation of the light novel story. In terms of anime quality Kaze no Stigma is a great anime to watch especially in battle scenes, seems a bit simple because of the elements or the ability they use but the effects for each battle scenes is good to watch and delivering the light novel story into anime series is smooth to enjoy. For the music choice a bit of simple but a good one to listen for the opening song blast of wind is suits well for the anime and a good introduction not just the story but the cast, and for the ending song multiple songs to listen and a bit of character emotion for the whole ending songs.

Kaze no Stigma anime series deserves a good anime recommendation in terms of story. This is one of the interesting anime series to watch action with a bit of romance. Anime or light novel? First of all, I learned the title first from its anime adaptation announcement. After watching the whole series, it seems a good story to read afterwards. The light novel story is also good to read, not just to know the main cast or the characters around but also to know more the real reason why Kazuma leaves and how Kazuma learns a new ability. One sad news to know is that the Kaze no Stigma is left unfinished or incomplete because of the death of writer Takahiro Yamato in July 2009. Is the Kaze no Stigma an underrated anime series? Nope, not at all it turns out a fair grade to most because of the interesting story from the start and while watching it, some question starts to be answered and a new question appears and that’s one of the reasons to read the light novel story after watching the anime series. Kaze no Stigma a good anime to watch not just for your usual entertainment but also an interesting story to know how Kazuma change a lot of things about him after he leaves the Kannagi family and returns to his old household not just your weak side but on your strong new ability that you work for it.
