GOSICK

GOSICK is one of the amazing mystery stories from 2011, a light novel story written by Kazuki Sakuraba and illustrated by Hinata Takeda. Anime series of GOSICK is produced by Bones and here’s some popular titles behind its studio like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Boku no Hero Academia, Noragami and Mob Psycho 100. GOSICK consists of 24 episodes, runs about 24 minutes per episode and aired from January 2011 till July 2011. Opening song “Destin Histoire” performed by yoshiki*lisa. Ending song “Resuscitated Hope” and “unity” both performed by Lisa Komine. GOSICK anime series is directed by Hitoshi Nanba.

Kazuya Kojou is a transfer and foreign student at Saint Marguerite Academy, a luxurious boarding school in the Southern Europe country of Sauvilee. Kazuya is originally from Japan, by just looking at his whole jet-black hair and dark brown eyes that cause him a nickname of Black Ripper because of its hair and eyes color and based on popular legend about a traveler who brings death in the spring. One day Kazuya visits the school library in search of ghost stories.

Instead of looking for ghost stories, Kazuya's focus changes as he starts to become curious about the golden hair strand on the stairs. The steps lead him to the large garden and saw a beautiful girl that almost looks like a doll because of its golden hair. The name of the beautiful girl is Victorique de Blois, she always stays at the beautiful large garden just to read books and one of her special skills is her imaginative foresight that gives her a future view or allows her to see the future.

GOSICK story focus is Kazuya Kujou a transfer student from Japan and Victorique de Blois a beautiful girl in the garden, Kazuya saw a golden strand hair that leads him to the large beautiful garden at the top floor and saw Victorique who lay down or looks asleep, but soon spoke about something mystery and reasonable knowledge to seek the truth for any difficult reason. Victorique has a special skill, the imaginative foresight that can assist or rather helps her to solve the problem or makes her deduction more accurate and, on the spot, solving crime even without leaving the garden. A mystery story that needs a detective skill to solve the crime.

GOSICK anime series is produced by Bones and did a great job for its animation. Great anime quality to deliver the light novel story into life is to thank for its studio, the good smooth quality animation with a bit of action and magic or rather the mystery behind its trick is to look for and the amazing historical view to enjoy every bit of the story setting. The music choice suits well for the anime series for the opening a good lively one to listen and you can feel that this is not your ordinary anime to watch thanks for the great performance of yoshiki*lisa for this great opening song, and for the ending song is one of emotional that I hear for this anime series the feeling of the music or the emotion behind the main character that seeking an answers for the things happening for the whole anime series and both ending song performed by Lisa Komine is to thank for that kind of emotion into her music.

GOSICK anime series deserves a high anime recommendation in terms of mystery problem solving story instore and great historical setting that feels fresh and new. Anime or light novel? First of all, I start to learn the title from anime adaptation announcements and after done in the series one thing I can tell is GOSICK has an interesting story from start till the end to enjoy because mystery story is not just about answering the question but also makes its viewers to think at the same time. For the light novel story is also one thing to read if you think there’s a bit of thing missing in the whole anime series, reading the light novel story is the answer for most of the questions and some deep informative at the same time. You can start either an anime series or light novel story, you will still get the excitement and the whole story from both sources. Is GOSICK an overrated anime series? The score is fair and receives a lot of positive feedback while the series is still on air is something the next viewer is looking forward to, the good feedback for the whole series and how the story moves or if it's still on the main track. GOSICK anime series is a great story to enjoy from the start till the end, the twist and turns makes the whole series interesting and it’s one of the highly recommended in terms of mystery genre.
