Tenma Tsukamoto, a second-year high school girl has a secret crush on Ouji Karasuma, one day Tenma hears that Ouji Karasuma will transfer school to America, the only way to stop it is to confess her feelings before Ouji leaves the school. Tenma tried various things to confess her feelings to Ouji, almost all things failed when she sent a letter without a name. The following morning Ouji decides to postpone his transfer of school for one year.
Kenji Harima, a second-year high school boy, has a secret crush on Tenma Tsukamoto, one day while Tenma tries to confess her feelings to Ouji Karasuma, Kenji also tries to confess his feelings to Tenma. A lot of things change in the life of Kenji returning to school and trying to control his temper and prevents to go into a fight because of Tenma. Kenji tried a lot of things to confess his feelings to Tenma but somewhere it became a misunderstanding and failure at the same time but never gave up on his feelings for Tenma.
School Rumble, a romantic comedy story centers around Tenma Tsukamoto who has a deep crush on Ouji Karasuma and Kenji Harima also has a crush on Tenma. Every time Tenma tries to tell her feelings something wrong happens and when Kenji also tries to tell his feelings also seem a big misunderstanding to people around. A great start for a romantic love story but also a comedy because unfortunately or not yet the time to tell what your feeling to another person, as the story goes the feelings of Tenma to Ouji grows strong and also for Kenji will continue to fight for his feelings for Tenma.
The School Rumble anime series produced by Studio Comet did a great job for the anime adaptation of the manga series. The anime quality is good to translate the romantic comedy story of School Rumble, a bit of fight scenes and a lot of fun parts not to miss it but to enjoy it. For the music choice opening song is so good because of great performance of Yui Horie amazing seiyuu for doing the character of Eri Sawachika, and the ending song is good not just because of the performance of Hiroki Takahashi for doing the character of Kenji Harima but also the continues dream of Kenji for his feelings inside.
School Rumble deserves a great recommendation especially for the fans of romantic comedy, this series is really for you to enjoy. Anime or manga? First of all, I learned the title from an anime adaptation and the story is really great for a romcom series. After the anime series is done, I decided to read the manga story and much more interesting to know what happened next and it turns out both things are good. If you just want to watch the anime series for fun just stick to it but to know more about the story which is also great to read the manga. Is the anime series overrated? Nope, not at all the anime series is good in terms of animation and relaying the whole manga story into anime which is great to watch even not reading the manga story on first hand. Character balance story which is also good not just mostly focus on Tenma and Kenji but also to some of their classmates around the class of 2C it shows the good balance story from manga is well delivered to the anime series. School Rumble is a great anime series for fun not just your romantic comedy series but also a development to a better version of the main character to show how they really love the person.
