Seitokai no Ichizon

 Seitokai no Ichizon or Student Council’s Discretion in English title, a harem comedy and parody anime series from a light novel series. Seitokai no Ichizon anime series produced by Studio Deen. Seitokai no Ichizon consists of 12 episodes, runs around 24 minutes per episode and aired for the whole last quarter of 2009. Opening song “Treasure” performed by Hekiyou Gakuen Seitokai. Ending song is different for every episode and mostly performed by the voice actor. Seitokai no Ichizon is directed by Takuya Sato. 

Hekiyou Academy where student council officers are elected by popular vote around the whole school grounds, but an additional position is granted for scoring the highest grade on all exams. Ken Sugisaki, who has an average grade, worked so hard to improve not just for his own but to be a part of the student council of Hekiyou Academy. Ken with a strong dream of relaxing a day while eating some snacks, playing some games around and bonding moments with a harem of beautiful girls of student council. Unfortunately, all Ken plans didn’t go quite as he planned because the beautiful members tend to do the boring activities like organizing school events and managing a school club. These boring activities for Ken are just a minor thing to chase his dream life even if it's far and crazy at the same time. 

Seitokai no Ichizon a story about student council life where Ken Sugusaki works hard to accomplish his ultimate dream to enjoy life with the student council beautiful girls. It sounds crazy from the start but that’s how the story runs where Ken does a great job not just a student council member but also to make all the members happy and enjoy school life. Ken daily distraction inside the student council room not just to hinder the task of the student council but to lighten up for everyone, even at the end of the day everyone had fun. That's the important thing for Ken and he stays late to finish everyone's task without everyone. For the story is like a simple harem thing but with a mixture of parody from time to time makes it a lot of fun for the whole series.

The animation itself is good enough to translate the story of the light novel, a good job done by Studio Deen by adapting the story of Seitokai no Ichizon. Some visual effects deliver the fun of parody, it's like you watch the real thing from this series and make sure everything is under control by the use of censorship of the original anime title or character that’s make the good balance of the run of the story with a bit of parody. The music choice for the opening is a fun start of the student council of Hekiyou Academy. The ending songs are well performed mostly by the seiyuu or the voice actor of the whole series.

Seitokai no Ichizon a good anime to recommend in terms of fun factor and fans of parody this is a good stuff to watch, for the story Ken Sugisaki character is like a new start of a new life in the Hekiyou Academy not just a regular student but reaching the top to fulfill his dream. Anime or light novel? I watched the whole series without any idea from the start that Seitokai no Ichizon is a light novel story, just based on the synopsis. I watched it and had a lot of fun. For the light novel series consist of 10 volumes a short one but to know more about each character around read the series. Is this another harem series? Yes, it is a harem but with a limit at the same time, the one big reason is that they are a part of the student council and a light humor at the same time. Seitokai no Ichizon is a parody anime to watch not just for the fans of comedy but a short series to enjoy the daily life of student council, a balance of story and parody in the anime series that gave me a time to relax and chill to enjoy the whole series.
