Haiyore! Nyaruko-san or Nyaruko: Crawling With Love! In English title. Haiyore! Nyaruko-san is famous for a good quality of parody and comedy to enjoy. Haiyore! anime adaptation by Xebec production. Xebec production is good for adaptation of anime series and here’s some famous titles they created like BanG Dream!, MM!, Ladies versus Butlers!, Busou Renkin and To LOVE-Ru. Opening song “Taiyou Iwaka Moeyo Chaos'' performed by Ushirokara Haiyoritai. Ending song “Zutto Be With You” performed by RAMM and “Magamagashiku mo Sei Naru kana” performed by Ushirokara Haiyoritai. Haiyore! Nyaruko-san is directed by Noboru Kimura.

Mahiro Yasaka is an ordinary high school student. One regular day Mahiro was attacked by an unknown monster creature, when he almost lost his way and was saved by a silver haired girl named Nyaruko. Nyaruko is Nyarlathotep creature or shape shifting creature from horror author H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu Mythos. Nyaruko was sent by the Space Defense Agency to Earth to protect Mahiro from the creature chasing him also known as Nightgaunt who plans to abduct him and to sell him as a slave. 

After Nyaruko saves Mahiro and finishes her duty to protect him from Nightgaunt, Nyaruko told Mahiro that her mission on Earth is done and will leave by returning the peaceful life of Mahiro and on the following day a big surprise of Mahiro at school Nyaruko appears in front of Mahiro as a student like nothing happened. Nyaruko stays on Earth to continue her duty as a Space Defense Force agent and her quest of love for Mahiro grows much stronger day by day and her otaku life continues. Mahiro's quiet life changes a lot after an unexplained encounter.

Haiyore! Nyaruko-san in terms of story this is more on parody ideals seeing a lot of familiar parts of different anime titles around it’s easy to be hooked in this kind of anime parody plus more comedy and a lot of entertainment. This is one of the highlights of Haiyore! Nyaruko-san series the fun factor is high, but is there really a good plot around this anime, one thing I saw this the character of Mahiro attracts a lot of different deity around the different universe, is like they want a piece of Mahiro while the story runs and hard to explain even he asks most of the time why me and what do I have. That’s how the story runs in the anime concept but the parody part can’t stop seeing most of them especially if you are familiar with those titles.

Haiyore! Nyaruko-san for the music choice is a good rhythm. It suits how chaos life happened to Mahiro but he still has a lot of fun at the same time. The animation is simple and good even if there are some fight scenes and it’s still on the comedy side no need for a big special effect for it but the names for some special moves gave some chill to the enemies. The animation character art is one of the things that I like in the whole series of Haiyore! Nyaruko-san simple but fun art and easy to remember that this anime is parody and comedy and sci-fi at the same time.


Haiyore! Nyaruko-san deserves a good recommendation for otaku people who like parody and comedy. This anime is for you to enjoy and relax at the same time. Why is there some rating that is too low for this anime title? To be honest I don’t know but the only reason I can see the plot itself is like they forget it or it’s just how it is for this anime story. For a light novel story is this a good series? Yes, it is if you want a story that is not too serious but has a fun factor this is a good choice to chill some time. Is there romance in this anime? Maybe, but don’t expect it because the anime is mostly on the comedy and parody side and easily to forget it. Haiyore! Nyaruko-san is easy to watch for the new people who want to try anime without too complicated plot or twist but more on fun factor it can be a guide also to learn other anime titles inside the series because of the parodies.
