xxxHOLiC

xxxHOLiC story created by CLAMP is one of the best character designs that I have ever seen. In terms of story CLAMP is one of the rare stories to be seen around, because of something unique and strong in detail and never fails to amaze me. CLAMP consists of all women behind the creation of manga and story most of the top selling titles they had is Card Captor Sakura and Blood+. xxxHOLiC unique and mysterious story mostly on myths, past events or beliefs that are still practiced around and never forget things around why the festival celebrates on a certain day. xxxHOLiC produced by Production I.G involves a lot of great anime titles around like FLCL, Blood+, Koukaku Kidoutai, Psycho-Pass and Shingeki no Kyojin. xxxHOLiC directed by Tsutomu Mizushima. Opening music “19sai” performed by Shikao Suga. Ending music “Reason” performed by Fonogenico and “Kagerou” performed by BUCK-TICK.

Kimihiro Watanuki can see spirit or ghosts and he attracts all them around him. At first it looks like he makes things up by having a weird movement around when he’s been attacked and followed non-stop by the spirits, he has been seen from his childhood till its high school life. One day, on the way home, Kimihiro followed a lot of spirits, suddenly disappeared when he came to a strange house. Kimihiro enters the strange house and meets Yuuko Ichihara, the store owner, where your wish will be done at a certain price. Kimihiro's first encounter at Yuuko is not a coincidence and tells Kimihiro that (There is no coincidence in the world. What is there is hitsuzen.) Yuuko asks what Kimihiro really wishes for and to grant the wish he really desires, Kimihiro works at Yuuko store daily after school for the payment of his wish.

xxxHOLiC in terms of animation a great story from manga created by CLAMP. Production I.G does a great job in the anime series of xxxHOLiC mostly followed the manga story and how the story moves in anime, sometimes production forgets to do it most. The anime series is fun to watch and the seiyuu made a job well done especially the fun part of Kimihiro Watanuki voice act by Jun Fukuyama who also known a voice behind Koro Sensei of Ansatsu Kyoushitsu, Yukio Okamura of Ao no Exorcist and Lelouch Lamperouge of Code Geass. The comedy act of Kimihiro and Shizuka makes the story balance from the serious type of story to unexpected comedy routine duo they do every time.

One thing that really stands out for xxxHOLiC is the story flow and the well explained events. The attraction of the myths from Japan really stands out in this story. Interesting story that makes me hook up on xxxHOLiC and decides to read the manga after watching the whole series. To understand more and the deep story and revelations onwards. The balance of fun and deep interest and a clever story flow it stands at all and a bit of culture to understand and explain well enough. This is the highlight of xxxHOLiC story.

xxxHOLiC deserves a high recommendation to watch the whole series. If you are a fan of the supernatural, mystery and psychological genre this is for you, the well-balanced story with a bit of comedy and drama inside. Is xxxHOLiC a confusing anime, well maybe but not really because as the story goes it will be explained why is happening or in terms of the event the give and take part for the price. Can xxxHOLiC be seen alone because there’s a rumor that it’s connected to Tsubasa Chronicle? For me it’s yes because as the story goes on it only stays most on xxxHOLiC even there’s an encounter happens but the main story continues with a good explanation at every arc of the event.
